Weigh In!

I'm late again. I won't even bother with the cute graphic. I weighed in (on Sunday--I can't believe how long it took me to log in and report it) and the scale said 237 and I said "thanks, scale." That's down .5 pounds from the previous week.

Considering that I didn't get my butt in gear until my somewhat whiny post from late in the week, I'm really happy with .5 pounds. Considering the damage I could have done, I'm glad to have a loss to report.

I appreciated the support and advice I got from Bloggerland. You'll be pleased to know that I was super motivated after my last post. I've been tracking every last bite of food on The DailyPlate. Thanks to those who suggested it! I love seeing what percentage of my calories I've eaten and it helps to know if 75% of my calories have come from fat! It's really keeping me honest and giving me some good insight on this process.

I've also been working out a lot. I'm still on a fitness team where I work and I'm pretty proud to say that we're kicking a lot of butt. Presently, we are in 4th place out of over 100 teams and we're .2 points away from third. I've never realized how competitive I can be, but I'm not about to question a good thing. I'm just glad I found some additional motivation to move.

Great job with the loss this past week and your exercise competition sounds really neat. I think I would enjoy exercising more if I was competing. :)

A half pound is still a half pound LOSS. Congrats!

I totally need to get into a fitness competition...that would be so fun and would turn me into an exercise gorilla. hahahaha

Good job on the weight loss!! Wow, it really motivates me! I would recommend using a weight tracking site like www.bodytrace.com , it makes a half pound look like a million.. if you know what I mean..

Good going on the half pound! It's too bad your sis can't get on the same page, it definitely makes it more difficult, but you CAN do it!

Congrat on the half pound weight loss! I too lost half a pound. It's important to celebrate all weight losses, big or small because that means you're on track to losing weight!

Teams are good too join because they provide motivation. Beware of the team members that are willing to do anything to lose weight for a contest. Stick too the basics of eating right and exercising and shoot for a 2pound a week goal.

Congrats on the weight loss success...congrats on your fitness team at work's competitiveness...and congrats on getting your mind back into the weight loss game. That is the one vital thing that most people miss...using your brain to get the body you want. Good work!
